Description
National Campus Safety Awareness Month, recognized each September, highlights the importance of fostering a safe and prepared academic community. This observance provides an opportunity to learn about safety resources, strengthen partnerships with local first responders, and engage in meaningful discussions about preparedness.
The program will include:
· A presentation by Jim Moreno, Facility Supervisor, Security
· A short film, Active Shooter – Run, Hide, Fight
· An opportunity to meet and engage with representatives from the Port Aransas Police Department, EMS, and Fire Department (pending availability)
This event will provide practical information on campus safety while creating space for open dialogue with our first responder partners. We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to attend and take part in this important community conversation.
